Old Fashioned Day - Walker Valley - June 6, 2010

WALKER VALLEY — Members of the Historical Society of Shawangunk and Gardiner are working on publishing a historical photo book about the Town of Shawangunk, and are seeking old photographs of the town and its people to include in it.

Anyone with old photos, information or anything they would like to share about the town’s history can bring their items to the Historical Society’s booth at Old-Fashioned Day from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at the Walker Valley Firehouse on Route 52.

Photos and artifacts can be donated, placed on loan or wifi be scanned and photographed while you enjoy the fair and then returned to you. All photos will also be added to the Historical Society’s archives.

The Historical Society’s booth will be in the pavilion behind the firehouse. Anyone with information, photos or just an interest in Shawangunk’s history is invited to visit the fair booth any time during the day. For more information, call Toni Gagan at 744-3357.
